As Spring is finding it way out and Summer slowly approaches I will be back with my very first post soon. I am happy to say that I will be collabrating again with RedHeadCreative studio Chicago for my #ChichiInTheCity Series. I cant wait to style my personal looks and slay all over the city of Chicago.

Another saturday another fashion event to network at. On Saturday July 30th, Chicago’s fashion savys came out to ‘Cocktails With Claire x Miss Diddy’. Hosted at 19 East venue, the evening included a panel of personalities and influencers in the fashion and beauty industry discussing ways we can all use our creativity to its full potential.
The panel consisted of Claire Sulmers (FashionBombDaily,) Miss Diddy (The Brand Group,)Kendra G. (107.5 WGCI-FM), celebrity make-up artist Ashunta Sheriff, and entrepreneur Bobby Simmons.
We had the opportunity to sip and shop with fellow fashionistas. After the panel, attendees mixed and mingled with vendors, sipped complimentary drinks sponsored by Hennessy, and posed for pictures.
If you follow me on snapchat @chichi_nneka you would know I explained this selfie moments with claire herself.
We posed for a pic with claire and my friend Coco who also is a fashionGirl owner of Shopwithcoco
My look for the event was simple with a little detail.
Excited, Something great happened from attending this event. #networking, will be visible soon.
On Saturday July 16th 2016 I attended for the Second time the Fashion and Beauty conference hosted by simply digital network. Basically, its the bridge that connects young entrepreneurs, tech whizzes, and fashion enthuastist with other like-minded stylistas and beauty babes.
I geared up in some new ZG and was out door to network and learn from other fashion/beauty entrepreneurs.
The event was hosted at Dana Hotel and Spa Chicago. The conference started with a nice list of fun activities and engaging interactive items to try at every booth and ended with numerous breakout sessions with expert insiders from various fields.
Inspirational station!! I loved it!! I believed it!!
Nail Station bar. Free paint job!
Hair station … quick touch ups and nice products to test out.
Live Fashion Illustrator: she could sketch you in just 5 mins. The line was too long for this I never got the chance to get my sketch.
One Day I will Look back and I will be very proud of myself.
I remembered to take a flick at one of the Break out session. Above is the PR for “The Tie Bar Chicago”.
Few flicks of other fashionistas I met at the conference.
Overall, It was a lovely event and I look forward to next years.
Another fun collaboration with RedHedCreativeStudio project #ChiChiInTheCity #ChicagoStreetStyle. We shot this entire look at the Dusable bridge, the bridge carries Michigan Avenue across the main stem of the Chicago River in downtown Chicago, Illinois. Unfortunately for us it was also Taste of Chicago weekend so you can imagine how crowded and busy downtown was. We still managed to get some good wide range shot without anyone in the background.
My look for the day was this lightweight semi fitted short sleeve button down shirt, perfect for sunny days or warm nights. It goes perfectly with jeans or a fitted skirt. My button up turned into a sleevless shirt, thanks to my handy dandy scissors.
Never underestimate the power of a button down. Now double that statement when it comes to a classic stripe button down shirt. Button down shirt is one of the most versatile garments a woman could own, from it’s ability to challenge the vibe you are trying to set to overall changing your whole look.
The versatilely can go from high fashion, casual cute, preppy, to the clean crisp look.
The bag I am carrying is by an European desigher Nine by Anita Loncar.
On Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those who have given their lives in defense of our nation, those who have served or are currently serving. Besides that, Memorial day is also a day off which equals to a long weekned to the working class Americans.
I spent the memorial weekend in Miami because a couple of my friends from london and lagos came to town and it was only right to meet up and faji with them Miami edition.
We stayed 4 nights at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel.
Day 2: my look was chic, fashionable and flirty.
Dress: Akira this color is sold out but still available in blue. – Shoes: Aldo(sold out) similar here Bag: GG Marmont leather shoulder bag Gucci
Day 3: We had dinner at Jaya at the Setai for my friends 25th birthday.
The Ambiance was beautiful, the middle of the resturant was surround by palm trees and water, felt like you are literally eating outdoors but still enclosed. I loved the sensual music playing in the background, the service is fantastic. Quality and variety of food also excellent.
The venue fit perfectly with my outfit, very sleek, modern hotel eatery dishing up eclectic, Indian-accented Asian dishes, plus cocktails & sake.
I loved my Slinky Satin dress from oh polly P.S go to sizes up if you do buy this dress I ususally wear a UK8 but I had to return it and get a UK12 for it to fit like this and not look too short. Shoes: Misspap.co.uk
Day 3: I attended a Day party at Hyde (SLS Boutique Hotel)
I also did a lot of eating and sipping of sweet wine/virgin cocktails. I am still getting used to taking my canon camera around with me so on some days I didnt take any pics. You can follow me on snapchat: @chichi_nneka for next time to see literally day to day post 🙂
Day 4: Brunch with the ladies at LA CÔTE, an Outdoor oceanfront dining on French-Med cuisine in stylish quarters at the Fontainebleau Hotel.
Hey guys, I am back with another collaboration with RedHeadCreativeStudio with my project “Style in Chicago” featuring the best of my personal style captured around the city of chicago. This time, I decided to incorprate another zurikgirl item.
I am wearing Zurikgirl “Shakara Oloje” Skirt and I turned my over sized button Up shirt into an off shoulder top. If you follow me on my snapchat (@chichi_nneka) you will understand my love for reconstructing, tweeking and DIY(ing) all my clothes. This season, I am all about the obvious details like ruffles and layers, a wrapped waist, a slashed cutout, or an asymmetrical hemline to liven up any look.
We shot this look on the busy intersection of Broadway, a major street in Chicago’s Lake View, Uptown, and Edgewater community area. Random fact: The name of the street was changed to Broadway on August 15, 1913, my birthday is on August 16th. :). Broadway is the only street in the city of Chicago that does not have a suffix. It is neither a Street, Avenue, Road, Boulevard nor Parkway; known simply as Broadway, how cool!
My shoes are Badgley Mischka, and My purse I purchased from Aldo last summer.
